SC Elxam Champs League (2013-2018)

http://www.afl.com.au/news/2018-01-14/no-repeat-of-2017-hiccup-for-fitagain-wells

$390,900

Had 130pt SC game in his last game before injury last year. Proven scorer and just what we need in the forward line.
Averaged 100 from 19 games in 2016 with many big 100s.
Our prayers have been answered.
There is some sarcasm there but he is an option. 6k cheaper than Lobb, should that plan not come to fruition.... straight swap?
Headline says no repeat.... but Wells does have a history of repeats... good and bad.... definite risk v reward type... and worthy of some thought in a year where forward planning is a bit of a headache.
He's a not yet for me.

Old glass calves he is all class and scores well as long as you are willing to burn a trade when he pops one but he could be a big advantage if he can stay on the field , apparently he is in a lot better shape than last year ;)

Good point about not much cash needed - perhaps keep in mind after R2 adjusting trades, as Pies will have played Hawthorn and Richmond, which will give some indication of where he is at

Lock him in and then trade him to Buddy after 6 weeks, probably with some change left over too.

I Can see him averaging 90+ but will be rested regularly if he's not actually out injured. Prefer Deledio for 50k cheaper if I was rolling the dice on one of these types

Good old Lids. So many cheap options in the fwd line.
He's a cheap one but I'm not sure about a good one. If he can return to form he is. Has been a bit of an injury prone muppet since moving North. Need to see something before I venture there.

His scoring history is immaculate though. If you can get the games out of him you will get the scores.

2008        22   102.2
2009   22   103.4
2010   22   101.9
2011   22   104.9
2012   22   116.6
2013   22   103.6
2014   18   102.9
2015   17   112.8
2016   11    95.0
2017   4       77.2

The only issue is injury. Still played a lot more footy than wells over the years though, he's 2 years younger, plays in a better side and is 50k cheaper so would go with him. Don't think I'll be going near either though

The figures mount a good a case.
Injury, playing in a star studded GWS line up as opposed to his Richmond line up days, declining average/ age (31 in April) all conspire against him getting his mojo back.
Definitely food for thought but I'd want awhole lot of positivity around him before going there.

Yeah would take some balls to start him but will make things interesting if he had a couple of huge JLT games

If Lids and Wells get through pre season injury free they have the runs on the board GWS need to use Lids in a similar role he had at the Tiges otherwise they have have wasted there time and trades and Wells like I have said he is class .... worst case scenario 2 trades to unload best case 2 players cheap who can score like premos.

Best case scenario sounds alright. Worse case scenario doesn't but you kind of make it sound appealing.  ;D
