This weeks team Lodgement thread
A lot of matches against similar matched teams so we should see a realistic table after this weeks round.
Round 5 (AFL Round 5 Friday May 1st to Sunday May 3rd)
Swansea Breakers v Hebden Bridge Hedgehogs @ Swalec Stadium
10th v 11th. Both Teams will be looking for their 3rd win of the season to stay in the fight for Top 8. Breakers went down narrowly to Cruisers last week and Hedgehogs accounted for Dragons. Based on form displayed so far this season Breakers will be slight favourites at home.
Staines Steins v Birmingham Dragons @ Wheatsheaf Park
Clash of 2 cellar dwellers. Steins best opportunity to chalk up first win of the season. HGA may be enough to get Steins home.
Huddersfield Hawks v Crosby Cruisers @ Galpharm Stadium
Clash of another 2 teams who will be striving for 3rd win to stay in race for Top 8. Hawks succumbed to the Hurricanes last week whilst Cruisers just got over the Breakers. Hurricanes should do enough to get over the Cruisers especially in front of home crowd
Nottingham Hoods v Liverpool Rams @ Trent Bridge
This clash promises to be beauty. 1st v 2nd. Rams have been the surprise packet of the season so far and will face a stern test from the consistent Hoods. Rams have been quick out of the blocks and if they start strong may prove too strong for the consistent Hoods.
Blackpool Bunnies v Hastings Hurricanes @ Bloomfield Road
Hurricanes should account for the Bunnies. However if Bunnies get all their big guns firing an upset is not out of the question.
Manchester Magic v Grope Lane Giants @ Old Trafford
Giants have shown improvement in the last couple of weeks and magic would not want to take them too lightly. If Magic on their game should win.
Oxford Owls v Winchester Werewolves @ Incheon Stadium
3rd v 4th Another close match expected here with winner remaining comfortably in Top 4. On form Werewolves should win but any slip up and Owls will take advantage.
Leeds Leeches v Bradford Badgers @ Elland Road Stadium
5th v 6th in another tight match, Will depend on which Badgers Team runs out. Badgers after a strong start to the season succumbed to a shock loss to Owls last week and will be looking for redemption against Leeches. Leeches are at home so contest should be great.
Teams to locked at bounce of Blues Pies Game Friday.
Scores to be updated by 9:00am Monday to receive 20 points bonus.
Should be some good banter here with teams so close.
