COLLINGWOOD has been dealt a massive blow with promising youngster Matthew Scharenberg likely to miss the entire 2016 season due to a knee injury.

The 20-year-old tore his ACL at training on Monday and scans have confirmed he will require a full knee reconstruction.

More to come

Especially in only your second year, footy really is a rough game for young men!

he will be back, way too talented to not be.

Not sure if doing the other knee is a good or bad thing. At least its not reoccurring and just another freak accident. Will have the best in the business looking after him.

At least its early and he should have a full preseason next year.
