I think it's cool how in these lesser tournaments the players can get couaching. Watching Vinci and her coach having what seems like a heated discussion but being european it's probably just normal chat :P

Really like Vinci that slice backhand is just 8)

Azarenka will no doubt complain about something too....

Since Australia is being represented by tools like Kyrios and Tomic we can hardly complain about Azeranka complaining about something or Serena talking up an injury

Tomic is getting better at least. Kinda more interested in being top 10 at the moment which is not a bad thing :)

Hopefully we can see something from what seems like a high number of Aussie women going around the circuits at the moment. I'm sick of relying on Stosur so would be nice if another one can stand up.

Just checked out the draws.

Apart from Kyrgios, Omar Jasika is the only other Aussie in the top half of the draw. The rest are in bottom half, Hewitt and Ducky face other and the others all have pretty tough runs if they're gonna do even remotely well.

Stosur's getting a qualifier, wouldn't put is past her to flower that up and lose.

Even if she pulls out a major win she just plays the chick who beat her in Sydney and has beaten her at the Aus Open before too iirc (Monica Puig). Hope she does win though then at least we get to see Puig on TV ;)

tbh from now on they should put Stosurs games on outside courts during the day, any kind of pressure clearly worries her.

Omar Jasika is sounding like a promising player for the future

We used to be in the same team in Junior comps. I was 5 years older than him and he was the number 1 in our team still. I only ever saw him lose once for us and the guy he played was about 6'6 and would kick serve it so high that Omar (who was short at the time since he was so young) couldn't actually reach it, so he had to take the serve as it bounced, every time. Lost 7-6  :-X

Haha I wish. We used to play a set where if he made a mistake, he had to do 100 push ups. If I made a mistake, I'd have to do 5 push ups. I can only remember losing 6-0 to him and he'd do 100 push ups afterwards for fun because he never got to do them during our set :P

The atmosphere will be pretty good regardless, but not super keen on watching Murray beat someone in 3 sets so as long as he has a good opponent it will be good.

What's wrong with this Ferrer, more grunting than a sow on heat! Sheesh & we say some women tennis players are bad. This guy is ?

Anyway Google to the rescue

DAVID FERRER
The diminutive Spaniard is like a metronome when it comes to staying in a rally, which is particularly annoying because he tends to grunt after every shot.
Ferrer would probably have won a Grand Slam by now had he been born 10 years earlier but it's hard to feel too sorry for him when he continues to be one the worst offenders for grunting in the men's game.

Anyone give Kyrgios a chance tonight?

I watched a bit of Berdych's game the other day and he played really well. I can't see Nick winning a set if Tomas plays his best.

I hope it's 6-0 6-0 6-0 and Nick gets multiple court violations and ends up running off the court crying.

With him it's all about the mindset, his best tennis is good enough. Does he want to play it?

Sheesh Spite, he must be pretty good then :P

Some players you just expect to see 5 sets from every match. Gilles Simon is one of them and is not disappointing the crowd by going to 5 sets today.
He's done it again!

Just love to watch Gilles play. Cmon big fella!

I have a $5 all up on Raonic into Sharapova for the 2 titles.

Good to see Raonic get a big win over Stan yesterday but I didn't realise when I put the bet on last week that Sharapova and Serena were in the same Quarter.

Serena has won her last 18 matches v Sharapova. I am hoping that changes today....

Sharapova has a chance.

Ranoic doesnt. No way he gets through both Murray and Novak. Not on hardcourts, on grass maybe a sneaky chance.

having a big serve is neutralized by playing two of the best returners and defensive players of all time.

happens the round after she knocks out Ana :(

Should be her v Konta and you would have to put your money on Ana, semis was soo close.

Azarenka probably still would have won but still i would have been happy.

I agree with that, but with Raonic at $29 it was worth a crack with $5

Roger is playing better than anyone else at this stage.

I expect Djokovic, Fed, Raonic and Murray to win their next matches easily.

Than it comes to Novak v Fed and Raonic v Murray.

Novak v Fed is slightly in favour or Novak but Roger is playing really well.

Murray the fav v Novak.

Novak v Murray final with hopefully Murray winning but I don't see it happening.

Konta is more Australian than Dasha!

not really both are Australian Citizens so they are both equally Australian.

Konta choses to represent Britian and Dasha Australia so on that Dasha is more Australian when it comes to tennis.

thats a pretty closed off view of what makes you Australian. Anyone who is an Australian citizen is an Australian. She chose to leave her country and reside in Australia. Makes you just as much of an Australian as someone who lived here their whole life.

I just hope Radwanska can beat Serena because that will at least make the final mildly interesting regardless.

How ironic, there's a chick in the semis who's Australian but is representing another country, as opposed to the countless amount of foreign born/heritage players representing Australia :P she's pretty flowering good looking too, not on Laura's or Genie's level but she's far hotter than Radwanska and Serena, and still reasonably hotter than Kerber.

Raonic and Murray H2H records is 3 a piece.

Their only slam match was at the US open in 2012, which Murray did win easily in straight sets.

Raonic though is just about in career best form. I can see it being a really good match but expect Murray to win in the end.

Except in the 2005 final when he rolled Lleyton.

Safin has a better forehand, backhand and moved a hell of a lot better than Raonic.

Saying that though with his serve Milos doesn't have to be as good around the court.

Trying to find out the reference but have not been able but coming back in the car yesterdaythere wer a couple of doubts starting to appear.

1) A doctor querying why she would be taking such a harmful drug before menopause as it has potential to damage reproductive organs.
2) Someone said she had been given 5 warnings that this medicine was going to be placed on the WADA Bans list.

So as usual we get differing sides so have to sift through what is true and what is not.

And for the record apart from the grunting do not mind Sharapova as a tennis player.
