Title: Round 16 Trades
Post by: Gigantor on July 02, 2017, 08:50:45 PM
Whats the plan this week?

My team is fairly rubbish at the moment so I'm taking a big punt

Goldy>Darcy
Pedo>Karpany

Then two big upgrades the next week

With Sandi done for the year could see Darcy easily averaging 90+, if not he will still make a heap of cash
Pedo has done his job and needs to go, Karpany should keep his spot for a while and make a bit of coin. Already have Mountford and Witherden along with spuds like McNeice Cousins and Eddy so I don't want to take another punt on a cheaper showerty rookie

Very similar Gigantor.

Preuss -> Darcy
Barrett -> Karpan

Then next week get an upgrade in the works

If I do Stef to Darcy I can do Callum Brown to any midfielder. I think that's worth a punt.

Thoughts?

Either going to go Longer(bench)- Buzza and Hannan- Yeo.

Or thinking Sharenberg- Witherden. Which means i field witherden instead of luke ryan... then Hannan to Josh Thomas, or Kieran Jack.

Could go Longer- Darcy, but means he will just be on pine and i wont get his scores. And hope Hannan doesnt spud it up...

Hurts even more when I see Darcy's 114 on the bench.

Reckon I'll go Cunico/Fisher to Darcy/Karpany just to fix up my bench while SPP and GOATwood who are on my field still making cash.

Barrett to Darcy (Ryder swings fwd)
Stewart to Mountford (Withers swings to D7)

Bit late on Declan but hopefully he's got a few more good scores in him to get me some $$

Next week I'll be able to turn Hanners and SPP into two top line mids (Dusty and Treloar probably)

Injuries have derailed my plans so I dunno anymore...

Hopefully use dpp switches to finally get rid of Marchbank for a cheap ruck that's named then upgrade Scooter/Oliver/McEvoy to anyone on those lines whilst playing Darcy on field.

Parsons to Sheed.
Martin or Nank, probably the latter to Darcy.

Darcy was a lot pricier then I was expecting. I've brought him in for Soldo at this stage.

I've also brought in GOAT Liam Jones for Parsonsp

Offloading Pruess to Darcy
Cuningham to Karpanny

Both these guys sit on my bench - double downgrade week which nets me an additional 200k and future cash generation.

Next week Greenwood into any mid of my choosing, and Scharenberg into Brandon Ellis, providing no injuries occur

When's the good time to downgrade reserves and get some $$$?  Is it now?

Trading Pedersen -> Darcy
Mills -> Witherden

Next week, I'll offload Preuss to free up some money.

The following week, I'll offload Dan Butler.

Preuss -> Buzza (Darcy has already made a fair bit, and cash accumulation is more important, Darcy will make more cash but he prob won't be moved on)
McEvoy -> Gawn (Big boy you served me well when Gawn went down, thank you for your service)

Archie is seriously pissing me off. Considering dumping Stef this week if hes named, Stef hasnt been as bad as last year with Archie around but still annoying me

I've seen lots talking of dumping him for Darcy while Archie is playing as long as u got Grundy as other.... haven't made my mind up on it yet

Yeh, the move Im considering is Stef to Darcy, and then next week Nank to Gawn, but that still leaves me with Preuss on the bench and Darcy on field.

I know I would be doing the same however with Darcy now the 1st ruck for rest of year that cash potentially will fatten quickly to move him to Grundy....

Buzza has bad job security, Darcy could play every game for the rest of the year, darcy has a be of -28, i dunno how you think he is not a must have, even with the extra cost sitting on the bench the money he will make you will be handy later on

Shameless plug for myself...

I've gone through the top 100 sides (Of which all get a fantasy cap at season's end with their finishing position on it) and recorded every player which those teams own. I'll answer any questions on twitter :P Some nice PODs out there and some surprising high ownership players :)

Sigh, I knew Gazza was a bad choice last week. Just wanted the little master for one last rodeo.

Gazza -> Dusty
Barrett -> Darcy

Free up a little bank to upgrade Pruess next week to a premo ruck.

Yeh any news on the extent of both their injuries?

Only really having second thoughts due to the potential for price rise with Selwood

You talking about Scott or Joel?

Scott wont make much more,  his BE is 101 but I'm hoping once fit he can go back to those 100+ games.

Means holding him one more week though. Angry face.

I'm doing Stef to Darcy and C. Brown to a premo but still stuck on who. Maybe Sidebottom.

Yeh Scott.

I want my team to progress and I want to bring in Darcy this week. So I've gotta hold one of Gaz or Scott, I really just dont want the one I hold to be missing next week too  ::)

I cant see any problems with that trade, Sidey has been great and his current form is delicious (also unique I may add :) )

So flowering angry toby greene is missing this week again, was a great selection and now its hurting me with the 2 weeks missed. Greenwood and Beech also out. So basically need to trade out 2 of them to avoid a donut....

Greene- Menagola. Beech- Josh Thomas.

Didn't really have the chance to trade him out. He's missed two weeks now, yeah? Have played Greenwood, which hasn't been too bad and got rid of Otten, Gaz, Marchbank and Barrett in that time instead, who all really needed to go and I brought in Burton, Zerrett, Witherden and Bont. Would have liked to have got rid of him earlier, but other priorities.

Spewing. Got Greene, Beech, Greenwood out. Need to trade one of them to void a donut. And S. Selwood out in the mids.

Still thinking Stef to Darcy and Beech to Menegola/Yeo/Sheed/Stevens.

Agree with that one!

I think I am going to go Ablett to Sheed, Stef to Darcy and hold onto Scott Selwood and hope he comes back and continues on with his good form from his first three games. \from what i can work out it seems more likely that he will be back next week than Ablett.  Kind of think Ablett's onjury may be worse than it actually is and it was him trying to push to the 300th.

Thoughts?

Need rookie help because I'm pretty clueless with them, they'll be benchies either way

Backs: Hibberd vs Tim Smith vs Nielson - Hibberd could compete with Ryan for my D6 but that 37k difference...
Forwards: Wagner vs Battle vs Young vs Zurhaar...Wagner?

Hibberd in defence. All of those forwards the job security is limited all may not be playing next week. Maybe go Zurhaar, Norths season is cooked so he has no choice but to play the kids.

Woops, I was meant to post that in the R17 thread but wasn't paying enough attention obviously :/

hopefully Hibberd can really push Ryan for my D6 spot, the 87 was nice but comes at a premium atm. Zurhaar sounds good as well, neat name

Yeah im happy to pay 187k because i think he should play every game now until seasons end. Dont think he can score 87s too often, but 50-60 would be handy just to have as backup with a late out and make some $$$. Would be good if he could get to 300k in 4-5 weeks.

Zurhaar is something different, im thinking BT will like that one, especially if he nails a goal.
