Wines or Parker on the table, deal must involve a fwd though :P
You didn't say how good the forward must be >:D.
-
Been getting plenty of interest for Jack Steven, and I'm getting used to the idea of letting him go. Is probably one that leaves, so enquire if interested.
-
A couple of updates on Toronto players who have come up in early trade discussions.
Tim Kelly
I am open to the idea of moving Tim to solve some problems down back. Any deal would need to involve a premium defender.
Tom T Lynch
Lynch is available to move. Searching for an equivalent midfielder of any age.
Jesse Hogan
His value is too low to justify trading. He will likely be staying but I am open to offers.
Jack Darling
It would take a very impressive offer for me to consider moving Darling. Blow me away or it probably isn't worth your time.
Isaac Heeney
See above regarding Darling.
Get in touch via Discord if you want to talk.

With some Royals breaking out and being left with weak M4 at times time to trade in a reliable mid for a forward or defender.
After review of Londons List here is our current list review. Technically all players are available for the right insane offer though.

Readily Tradeable: Darcy Gardiner, Kaiden Brand, Kyle Hartigan, Lewis Jetta, Jason Carter, Neville Jetta, Marty Hore
Prefer to Keep but open to offers: Ben Johnson, Dylan Grimes, Jed Bews, Lachie Young, Sam de Koning
Keepers but open to insane offers: Adam Saad, Blake Hardwick, Brad Sheppard, Jack Lukosius (F), John Noble
Mids:
Readily Tradeable: Darcy MacPherson, Rhys Matthieson (F), Willem Drew
Prefer to keep but open to offers: Hamish Brayshaw, Jack Newnes (F), Jared Polec

Rucks:
Untradeable Tim English, Jordan Sweet

we have an offer for jmart we're considering so i guess he is on the table for the right deal
would take a young player we really like to get us interested
-
I'm open to trading Dahl for all teams wanting a starting forward
He's had a very injury interrupted season, but his scoring before the injuries and previous years show he's still a 80+ fwd
Looking for a starting mid in return
Ideally, I'd like to add a 2nd piece to Dahl and get a 100+ mid, so you get 2 for 1 essentially
Not giving him away, because 80-85+ fwds don't come up a lot, so offer me something that works for both of us, or I'll happily keep him :)
-
Harris Andrews - 90avg (uninjured)
Jack Bowes - 85avg
Luke McDonald - 95avg (about 120avg last 10 games)
Callum Mills - 100avg
Sam Collins - 80avg
Josh Battle - 70-75avg uninjured (likely to get fwd dpp so will only trade for a fwd)
Trent Rivers - 65avg (last 5 games ~75-80avg)
I'm looking to trade one of these younger players for a similar age and scoring forward, or better scoring mid. Hit me up with any offers.
Additionally, i have:
Shaun Burgoyne - 70avg
Jake Carlisle - 70avg
Griffin Logue - 70avg (injured after 5 games but back to back tons when that happened)
These guys could be traded for picks, depth in other positions, packaged with any other players for an upgrade, etc. I do rate Logue though so dont offer chips for him heh
Also have picks on the table (think i have N15 this year), and as shown the last few years in reserves, plenty of depth for those looking to maybe downgrade a player slightly in order to have a bit more coverage.

In addition to the above, these guys have come up in talks recently
Damon Greaves
Surprise packet. It is no secret that I need defenders, so he is a little harder to move than he would be in any other position. I'll listen to offers.
Lachlan Sholl
Coaches' favourite. He is an elite ball-user and the volume is increasing by week. I see him as a longer-term starter, so it's probably not worth your time inquiring if you disagree. Hard to move.
Jaeger O'Meara
Available. Need a midfielder back in any deal, though.
Sam Weideman
Prefer to keep. Blow me away.
Tobe Watson
Showed a handy ceiling in limited opportunity. Plus he has an awesome name. Moveable.
Sam Wicks
Forward pressure king. Handy depth with longer term upside, regains F status next season. Moveable, but you may face hot competition from a particular coach.
-
I've had a few chats with a couple of coaches about Mark Blicavs. I am open to moving him, and am currently fielding any offers you may have. Position does not matter, but I am looking to go younger. I am expecting him to be picking up ruck status, but will allow for a little bit of uncertainty to weigh on his worth in talks.
If you're interested, best to have a chat to me soon! :)
-
Hey all!
Was busy with work today, but have leave booked for the rest of the week, which will give me plenty of time to get things in motion :)
Trade period will open tomorrow. I dunno when yet - it'll be after I post the rule outcomes, and post final salaries.
-
Tomahawk/Porkins for sale, 106 averaging forward with ~3 years left in him. Discord me.
-
Alrighty you crazy cats, the trade period is OPEN
The issue with the minimum/maximum salary caps is ongoing - I'm awaiting the AFL to advise as to what the list sizes will be next year.
I would proceed assuming that the current max and min caps will drop - so trade now at your own risk.
-
Shiels, Curnow, Murphy, McGrath can all be moved or packaged together for a for a forward or defender
Fisher available for pick 1
-
Chucking Steve May on the table for a mid or forward.
Max, Crippa and Fritta are the ones very likely staying. Otherwise the rest of the team is readily on the trade table.
-
Fisher available for pick 1

"SELL IT" ;D
A lot of people seem to be looking for a starting forward, and I've put up Luke Dahlhaus for trade, but for some reason he seems to be getting frowned upon, so I'm going to give you some perspective and show you that he is in fact a very worthy piece
- He just turned 28, has plenty of footy left
- He has years and years of 90+ avg in his history
- He averaged 85 just last year
- He was averaging over 80 this year before he missed a big chunk of the season injured, and his 70avg includes an injured score of 7
He's a 80-85fwd all day long, but here's the kicker
- Only 20 fwd players this year averaged 85 or more
- Petracca, Whitfield, Brayshaw, Greenwood, Simpkin, B.Smith and Dawson will all lose fwd status next year, and guys like Parish and Bolton are maybe 50/50 to keep it
- Mathieson and Jenkins in the Top 20 are irrelevant and can be removed
That leaves the following forwards for next year, who went 85+ this year:
Hawkins, Dusty, Walters, Heeney, Ryder, Dixon, Gray, Butters, Ladhams and Dev Smith.
Thats' it!
We know that Sidebottom and Dunkley are going to get forward status
We'll be lucky to have 10 forwards average 90+ next year
A fit Dahl going 80-85+ ain't too bad after all of that - even more so when you realise most of next years likely 90+ forwards are probably not attainable for the most part
Looking to get a good def or mid in return :)
-
if any of the top 8 teams want more depth we can do 2 of jjk/hill/broad/mackay for a 1st round pick
-
Parker could be gone tonight, offers must contain a starting fwd Or defender
-
Apologies for the delay in trade vote ppl, will send out today.
Also note that the De Goey trade has been deleted, due to pre existing interests not being correctly informed of his trade
-
Cairo
Defenders
On the Market: James Frawley, Daniel McKenzie, Ben Stratton, Corey Ellis, Jake Pasini
Could be Moved: Alex Keath, Oleg Markov, Buku Khamis, Jacob Kennerley, Matt McGuinness

Midfielders
On the Market: Dayne Beams, Kyle Dunkley
Could be Moved: Mitch Robinson, Mark Hutchings, Fraser Turner, Tom Joyce
Probably Staying: Taylor Adams, Hugh McCluggage, Hugh Greenwood, Jye Caldwell, Tom Sparrow, Will Snelling, Riley Garcia
Rucks
Could be Moved: Rory Lobb, Matthew Flynn, Shane Mumford

Forwards
On the Market: Sam Lloyd, Travis Colyer, Sean Lemmens, Ben Crocker, Jacob Townsend, Darren Minchington
Could be Moved: David Zaharakis, Ben Brown, Jason Castagna, Alex Neal-Bullen, Jake Melksham, Ollie Hanrahan, Mathew Walker
Probably Staying: TJ Lynch, Lincoln McCarthy
Mostly needing depth and/or a '4' of every line (D4/M4/F4) and to try and make some sort of decision on our ruck situation.
Open to talks about anyone, but the guys in red are pretty unlikely to be going anywhere.
Discord preferred for discussion, FB works if you have me added (or want to add me), FF least preferred.
-
Jordan De Goey is on the move, and will likely be gone tonight.
Contact me via Discord or PMs.

For anyone interested in top end talent, Pick 8 available for a high end starter, a combo of players or an equivalent top end talent. Also can be paired with a player or players as well obviously.

I mean, if Cotch is going for 13 then I figure a top 10 pick nets a better player than him, that's what I meant essentially.
-
On that note :P Pick 5 is also on the table for a premium mid. Happy to discuss additional players/picks.
-
Pick 2 is on the table as well
Looking for a starting mid as main preference, or possibly a forward/defender
-
Pick 3 is on the table for a premium mid or maybe fwd or def
-
Pick 4 is on the table for a premium
-
Pick 53 on the table for a premium+ or an Elite Captain option.
Prefer 120+ avg, but will settle for a 115+avg(Only IF the player is any good)

I can probably part with Steele for that, but I'd need Bont & Titch for Pick 57. I'll throw PSD 3 in as a sweetener

I like what Brad Crouch is snorting, he might have something worth #53 just up his nose alone.
-
28yo 110+avg. Mid that played every game. Lyons will never get tagged and a reasonable Captain option.
I'm looking for anything and everything, so fire away. Offer depth defenders or late picks, great.
Or make a real offer and have a chance. He's on sale for 48 hours, or until I sober up.
This is the UTM we need to see more of.

Last time I checked, "don't want Toga sacked" meant the opposite of "gunning for your head" but don't let that get in the way of the juicy narrative.

And last time I checked "Nothing public, just a PM from admin suggesting he might benefit from getting an assistant, or if he could try to get on at least once a week" wasn't "gunning for his head" either
Well done JB for making it public and something out of nothing, the absolute opposite of what I suggested ::)

Ben Brown look on his way out if anyone wants to make an offer.
This year was a write off, but he's a 75-80 average forward, has 4 years left and looking to change clubs so he'll bounce back. Good enough for a starting position, especially next year which is looking thin for forwards. Get your offers in now!

3 teams still to vote (London, Christchurch, Beijing)\
Trades 19-21 have received either 0 or 1 votes. Even if those trades with 1 votes get another 3, I won't be overturning the pass decision, so they pass.
Trade 18 - subject of much debate today on Discord - has received 6 votes, which moves it to the 'rejected - but can be overturned by admin' category.
Coaches comments: *paraphrasing* Believe NDT are not receiving ample compensation for losing its best player - one that averages 30 points more than its next highest averaging player. Considering that the substantial loss (-30 pts) is amplified by no captain option going the other way (so another -30 points), it is felt that New York may need to revise what it's trading, whereby the variance between Lloyd's average and any player New York give in return is reduced.
Admin comments: I've seen these trades go either way, but it appears the key factor here is the circumstances of New Delhi, whereby trading Lloyd leaves it without a player averaging more than 92 in 2020 (a solo game by Hinge aside). The resultant loss to New Delhi's best XV is therefore bigger than most teams, and I don't disagree enough with the coaches when they say this loss is inadequately covered, at least in a best XV sense, by what New York is trading.
Verdict: REJECTED
Closing remark: I understand having a trade be rejected can be frustrating. In the moment, it's easy to express that frustration hastily, and in language that can irk negative debate. It's just not necessary - from both sides. In the future, I hope these conversations can be more civil going forward, and that coaches can just walk away from debate which is not helpful. It's hard (I get tested all the time), but honestly, WXVs is not worth hanging onto that negative energy. Let it go, move on, and view it as an opportunity to either negotiate a better deal, or see what else is out there. You'll be better for it.
I'll send the reasons provided to New Delhi and New York shortly.
-
Happy to package up picks 25 and 27 for something, open to ideas but a defender, mid or even a higher pick would do.
-
There is a possibility Hopper, Florent and Budarick could all go soon, if you have asked about these please consider this your noticed as all 3 have been asked about a bit and i cant remember who :P

Trade 25
Christchurch trade: Mark Blicavs + Pick 1
New York trade: Xavier Duursma, Isaac Quaynor, Tom McDonald + Louis Butler
Received 5 votes, with the consensus feeling that Christchurch wasn't receiving enough compensation for Blicavs, where Pick 1 was considered worth Duursma + Quaynor, or at least the bulk of it. Given Blicavs is a genuine premo with chances of R status, the remaining pieces were felt inadequate for his worth.
1 coach thought the exact opposite.
I don't disagree with the coaches enough to overturn, so this trade passes.
-
20yo Duursma with 30 matches under his belt and avg. 70+ in his first two seasons.
NY took him 7th in the 2018 draft. Even if that was slightly high, he was going in the top 10.
If Duurs was available(currently as is) in this draft, fair chance he would be taken in the top 3
....Could be a Port bias on my part.
Not sure how NY are not paying enough. And that's my 1.9 cents

This guy gets it :-* :-* :-*
-
Surely he's only gained value since being drafted. A known vs an unknown(given so few under-18 matches).
It's not like there's a stand out Walsh or Rowell this season. Anyhow it passed so there ya go.
-
I've had a few people ask about Brennan Cox, and while I am very hesitant, I've also found myself with the nice problem of a surplus of starting-quality defenders, so I am open to bringing in someone else to strengthen another line long term.
Averaged 80 this year when finally given a good run at it, and 86 post-bye. Less than 50 games into his career as a big man, so has more improvement in him too.
Enquire within! :)
-
Happy to package N11 with one of Cunnington, Higgins, or Shiels for a younger mid.
Alternatively, can be packaged with any player for an upgrade on that player, or even on its own for a player of any position, for anyone looking to hit the draft.
-
Looking for a 70+ defender, doesn't have to be a sexy option but if they're not best 22 I'm not interested. Contact via Discord.

Just updating my list preferences
Im quite happy with my position structure until dpps but am happy to discuss deals for anyone not in red but would likely have to involve a guy of the same position
Im also looking for a pick in the 10-16 range, weather that be adding something one of my other picks (N24), directly in a deal or even downgrading N5 to one + something extra (this last option is least preferred).
-
As most have been aware had a fair bit going on to date.
So advising that there are 2 deals that may be posted today and if you had asked about them and I have not advised apologies as it means PMs have got misplaced in my filing system.
Will be posting this evening as these 2 players look like leaving London Hardwick and Bews.

Noting that the minimum cap is now $8.3M, the question has come up as to the cap requirements for those flirting with the minimum cap.
We've calculated the new cap based on the average of the top 738, effectively excluding almost 100 players with a cap of $100k.
So, I'll now assume that your 'effective' trade period starting point was your original starting point, minus however many players you had excess of 41, times $100k.
This only really appears to effect Christchurch, whom have now started the trade period 'below' the minimum cap. As such, they just need to submit a list lodgement of 41 with a cap over 8,074,000, rather than strictly above $8.3M.
Team | Normal | Excess players over 41 | Effective starting point |
Beijing Thunder | 11,076,000 | 3 | 10,776,000 |
Berlin Brewers | 10,197,000 | 4 | 9,797,000 |

Preuss.
Come get him.
I don't mind an offer I've got.
-
Trade 40
Dublin trade: Marc Pittonet, Trent Cotchin + Ned Reeves
PNL trade: Dylan Shiel + Pick 50
Trade received 4 negs.
Which mean it has passed, but I have the power to overturn.
The feeling was that PNL may be inadvertently paying for a false R1, given the expected competition TDK will present going forward. As such, the price of Dylan Shiel was deemed too much to pay.
Whilst this might end up being the case, I don't think I could justify overturning a trade result based on a speculative 21yo ruckman whose played 9 career games, featuring 1 score above 71. The trade is passed.

for people asking about Finn

I owe everyone in Worlds an apology due to my not keeping adequate track of offers during my busy 5 week work period and a number of personal issues as well.
In the midst of all this had a computer rebuild where I lost a fair bit of information including a trade monitoring sheet I was keeping and have just manged to recover it.
So basically that means that due to these unfortunate circumstances both the Hore and DeKonning trades have been autonegged.
As the trade period is drawing to a close I am now putting both players up for offers and the period will expire Thursday evening.
Bear in mind this will be subjective on my part and I may value offers differently to you to suit Royals.
Picks or mid depth will be what I would be looking for.
So over to you all and I will be on discord most of both days to discuss. (Out Thursday Morning though)
-
Further to the above just advising that N12 is possibly on the move again.
-
Bruce is probably gone today but in a different deal basically we getting Snelling ourselves so if you think you can beat him

Revised list preferences
Happy to do some last minute deals
Both Lipinski and Wingard can be traded would prefer a lesser fwd involved with Wingard though
Am intereted in another pick in the 7-15 range whether it be direct for player or a player downgrade (or even adding to it for N5)
Otherwise happy to discuss all kinds of deals :)

Cairo, Christchurch still to vote.
Trades 48, 51* and 52 auto-pass
*51 is contingent on 50.
-
Trade 53
London trade: Pick 12
London receive: Stef Martin + Pick 24
New Delhi trade: Stef Martin + Brayden Sier
New Delhi receive: Pick 12
Buenos trade: Pick 24
Buenos receive: Brayden Sier
Trade received 7 votes, and thus fails although overturnable by me.
Coaches overwhelming felt Stef doesn't get in the Pick 12 ballpark, and that New Delhi were hence winning this trade by too much. I agree with the coaches.
Trade is rejected.
Reasons will be sent to the coaches in the morning.
-
Trade 50
Cape Town trade: Pick 33
Beijing trade: Callum Coleman-Jones + Pick 70
Trade received 4 votes.
This means it passes, although overturnable by me.
The coaches felt that CCJ is worth more. Whilst that may be the case, I'm not overturning the trade because a 1-gamer, developing ruckman is worth too much.
Trade passes.
-
Trade 49
Beijing trade: Max King, Tom Jonas, Pick 16 + Pick 30
Moscow trade: Blake Acres + Pick 20
Trade received 5 votes.
This means it passes, although overturnable by me.
The coaches felt that Acres is not worth what's being given up for him, and that he may falsely be assumed to be a fwd next year.
I confess, this has been a tough one to deliberate on. I must stress here, that my role is to see whether the coaches reasonings are compelling enough for me to overturn the result from a PASS to a FAIL.
The key arguements were:
- Acres will be a MID only;
- Acres and King have comparable value; and
- 1 or 2 elements need to be dropped by Beijing, namely Jonas + 30, Jonas + the pick upgrade or the pick upgrade + 30
1) I think we all accept Acres is a mid only next year. So tick.
2) This is an interesting one. King averaged 61 this year and it is accepted he is on an upward trajectory. Historically, Acres has fluctuated between 70 and almost 90, having been interrupted by injuries along the way. Whilst he does have upside, I think based on history this can reasonably be expected to temper or discount any expected upside, for the purposes of evaluating the trade. As such, I'm inclined to view this as a 61 fwd + expected improvement (5 years younger) FOR an 85 mid. I think they are reasonably around the mark, but I do lean slightly towards Acres, but only slightly.
3) Given my conclusions in 1) and 2), I also subscribe to the argument that there is 1 too many beads on the side of the scale, given I think it is reasonable to value King and Acres around the same mark.
Is the imbalance too much to neg the trade?
1 bead tipping the scale? No. 2 beads? In this case, yes. I believe that in a perfect world, Acres + 20 FOR King + 16 is sensible, and that Jonas + 30 are the two beads tipping the scale.
After much consideration, I'm opting to REJECT this trade.
I believe the fix is simple. Beijing is to remove a bead or two.

its not just 12 for stef its stef and 24 for 12

As most of you know CD/Herald Sun released a bunch of 2021 positions today and I have now updated Lists By Position to reflect all of those changes
AFL Fantasy Twitter also provided a heap of positions, so I have scrolled through all their tweets and made all of those additional updates too
This should help with Trade Period 2 :)
If more tweets are made tomorrow with more positions - let me know
-
thanks RD
-
Thanks RD!
I have ambitions to start the draft today, so stay tuned everyone!

I've just gone through this and made all of the updates. Such a brutal and tedious task lol
I've probably missed a few, so check over your team, and if I have, just PM me
Thanks

Beautiful RD, cheers :-* :-* :-*

For those playing at home
Beijing was forced to take on players which exceeded the maximum cap.
Given that they submitted a legal list lodgement, the directive I've given them is to reduce their cap to be under the minimum in TP2.
However, if Beijing is unfairly being taken advantage of, then I won't force them to do a trade they're not comfortable making.
This is a gentlemen's agreement, so lets be understanding. We'll see how it lands.
TP2 is now open. Have a nice Christmas everyone.
-
The rumours are true :o
Choccy Neale can potentially be moved to try and alleviate our cap struggles.
If you want him you can make an offer, but it better be good.
Pretty much everyone else is available too, save for Milo, and probably Grundy because rucks.
-
Forwards: One of Tom T Lynch, Tom Phillips and Jack Darling can be moved for an equivalent player on another line, preferably a midfielder, though I would also consider defenders.
-
And what happens if they don't go under the max cap?
