Title: Rookie Promotions and Long Term Injuries
Post by: Ringo on March 09, 2013, 09:10:48 AM
To keep track of Rookie Promotions thought I would start a sticky thread. Will record all Promotions here.

Will restate Rookie rules here:

All teams will have 4 players on their Rookie list.

A rookie can be promoted to the Senior list as follows:
(a) When a Player is listed as an LTI with the AFL, a rookie can be promoted until the player is returned to the Senior List following Injury. LTI will be classified as 6 weeks or more, Should player return earlier than 6 weeks he will not be allowed to play till 6 weeks has expired.
Rookie will return to Rookie list when player returns from injury  or after 6 weeks if player returns early.

This site will be used to monitor LTI and any injury longer than 6 weeks will allow rookie promotion
http://www.injuryupdate.com.au/afl-injury-list.php

(b) You can use a rookie to fill a vacancy if unable to fill that position.  Specify when lodging teams.

(c) After Round 13 one rookie may be promoted the Senior List if desired and you commit your last national draft pick for next season for this player and you have to nominate a player that you will delist at the end of the year.

All promotions are to be advised to Administrator for verification and approval prior to being listed on your Senior List.

Please feel free to discuss if I have missed anything.

You can start promoting now for LTI's prior to Round 1.  If in doubt post and I will answer

Rookie Promotion List

Staines Steins have promoted James Magner in place of Matthew Suckling placed on LTI List. James Magner will be in team until Round 7 or when Suckling returns whichever is the latest.
Leeds Leeches have promoted Sam Schulz in place of as Alex Johnson placed on the LTI. Sam Schulz will be in team until Round 7 or when Johnson returns whichever is the latest.

Simon Black the only player that qualifies on our list (indefinite), and I reckon he'll be back by round 7. So no dice for us :)

Hebden has a few concerns with O'keeffe, Renouf, King, Bird and Gault nursing minor injuries  :-\

Also see they haven't updated Suckling yet.

Just a reminder that rookie promotion is available to you should a player suffer LTI's.  Pitt and Clay Beams would now allow a rookie promotion.

Yeah my bad... :( I was hoping Sinclair was on my rookie list... At least if Minson goes down I got Sinclair as back-up ruck :)

The last 4 players in all team lists are the rookie listed players.  Thought that was clear when I posted the priority order but will make clearer then.

My 4 last players aren't my rookie list because Sinclair...

If you look toward the end of the Team List page probably on the last page you will see my updated lists where I have your 4 rookies as, (Last 4 listed)
Tom Curran
Harry Marsh
Tanner Smith
Mark Austin
If this is incorrect let me know.

Can you confirm one way or the other and I will go in and then update the first post to avoid further confusion.  Thanks Lez for this as a check.

He'd have to nominate a specific player I think....

Still not on the official list PB but in light of the fact that he underwent season ending wrist surgery will allow.

Confirm Tunbridge promoted in place of Nicoski.

I have been playing Aaron Black not realizing he was on the rookie list. Andrew McInnes has been on LTI so upgrading Black now for McInnes.

With the retirement of Marty Mattner, the Steins are elevating Brandon Jack to their senior list

As McInnes is back I will downgrade Daniel Markworth FOR Aaron Black.

Do retirements count? Had thought of that in the worlds...
Title: Re: Rookie Promotions and Long Term Injuries

Retirements have not been mentioned but as Adminitrator I will make the ruling that any immediate retirements occuring a rookie may be promoted, Note the emphasis is on immediate not end of season. So rookies may be promoted to replace Johncock, Chad Cornes, Mattner.
