I actually have one in SB,  been fielding 18 for the last few weeks and held off on using it.
Coming home with a wet sail, weekly rank of 10th and 17th in the last two rounds. Moved from 302nd to 147th.

7 - The main one in my favour is Mcgovern vs Roughie

Good Luck this week SR
Hopefully you can bring it home this week.

Jezza and Roughie both yo-yo`s never know what they`ll do
Jezza more so as he plays forward and back

yeah, roughie having a day out on the pies would certainly be very helpful

Need a quick bit of advice for this week

With Cox out I can either play Currie or move Martin to rucks then I can play either Shenton forward or O`Brien in mids
Which would be the best option do you think?
Title: Re: Final Round Sportsbet.
Post by: Sydney_Rox on August 29, 2014, 04:18:20 PM
Currie v Melb doesnt sound too bad

I have little faith in Obrien even though he will be the win/death of me.

Shenton fwd and Martin in the ruck would be the safest bet.

100 DT for ZOB which should mean a decent score in SB

i am screwed rocky(c), buddy, jpk, zorko out. shenton for buddy, hurn had a shocker and no mid cover at all

at least i had the vc on selwood

there has been plenty of carnage so i am hopefull of a top 5 still but its gonna be close

looks like 2747. considering i had 2 donuts a 22 and a 39, pretty good!

It worked out okay for me. I had Liberatore to get most season tackles and he was only ahead of Rockliff by seven, so I made $120 on Rocky being out.

Hope you finish high. You must be refreshing the comp page like a crazy man. I know I would be.

They will be very juicy odds after the lose to the swans this week :P

It depends how important the money is to you.   $1.40 bet will make you 1K profit,, so play safe or go for the big pay day  :)

IMO go onto the punting board at BigFooty and ask for suggestions on how to hedge it. I'm sure someone there will have a good idea. It's a 2500 bet, so you want to make sure you get something for it rather than simply hoping. Anyway, you have 30 days to think about it, don't you?

Selwood for Brownlow, go for the $2.85 win or play safe and take the place bet at  $1.70   :)

Is it the same as the other bets they give away, by that i mean you only get to keep your winnings and they take back their 2.5k

I was under that impression.  Havnt read the rules to check though   ::)
It would be a bit rough to make the winner put it all on a single bet and only keep the profits.

havent got the $$ yet, so i will wait and then check some bets. i was thinking about the brownlow too

am 99% sure it falls under the same "free bet" category as the weekly ones, but yeah, coming 2nd and losing all the 2.5 would suck!!

Yeh i agree mate, i wasnt suggesting thats what they would do ie all on one bet im sure Syd could have as many bets as he likes with the 2.5k i was just wondering if the tight @rses take their 2.5k back.

I think it goes in on Tuesday.
I dont have that much gamble in me anymore, would probably play safe and try to just book a win.  :)  Either way lets us know what you put it on and we can Rail the bet with ya.   :)

Put the $2500 Free Bet on Hawks at the line @1.90 = 4750 - 2500 = $2,250
Deposit $1000 and put that on Geelong at the line @1.90 = $1,900

So you make $1,250 profit if Hawks win, $900 if Geelong wins

Its less than the $2500 that you had but at least your guaranteed to win around a grand

To get the same you'll have to find something at 1.40ish and you risk an upset

I'll go one better  :)
SportsBet Haw line +11.5 @$1.92 , then put the $1K into CentreBet and back Geelong line -13.5 @ $1.91   That way you win no matter what happens, and if the Hawks win by 12 or 13 points you will actually win both bets  ;)

Nice suggestions. I have my SB acc verified so that will be ok. Never used the CB account i opened.

I actually just won $1000 from my work footy tipping so I wouldn't normally have that lying round to play with and would never have thought of doing this.

Just looked at it, since i havent used I can also get $200 freebet from CB :P

If you decide to do that kind of bet SR, find a game that has the biggest line difference between bookies (so you have the biggest chance of winning both bets)
Also make sure you do both bets on at a similar time. You dont want to place one bet on then wait a day, only to find the Line as changed out of your favour.  Good luck   :)

.....And he wins 1k from footy tipping, you lucky so and so  :P

Congrats on the 2nd SR. I coach the tunas. I crashed badly in the final round with the late withdrawals of Rocky, Buddy and Zorko.
Check the fine print with the free bets, because sometimes you can't take the winnings from them out without turning them over.

Won't be worth it man. 1.10 x 2500 = 2750 - 2500 = 250 win only

Talking about the secondary bet where you have to turn over the winnings at least once before you can withdraw any cash.

Finally got the value in the account, so now I can have a good look around.

I am actually thinking about going at something like a horse race hoping to get 4-1. Working on the theory that is isnt real money so not getting attached.
