http://www.afl.com.au/news/2015-09-10/eagle-masten-ruled-out-of-qualifying-final-but-better-news-for-big-defender

WEST Coast midfielder Chris Masten has been ruled out of Friday night's qualifying final against Hawthorn because of a hamstring injury.

Masten suffered the injury during last week's win over St Kilda, and coach Adam Simpson said the six-day break between games meant it was too much of a risk to play the speedy midfielder.

"If it was an eight-day break there would've been some serious questions asked," Simpson said on Thursday.

"We think he might be available next week if needed, or possibly a prelim."

In better news for the Eagles, defender Will Schofield will return from his own hamstring injury.

Simpson would not reveal who would replace Masten or who would make way for Schofield.

Scott Selwood, Patrick McGinnity and Kane Lucas are the three most likely options to come in for Masten.

Youngster Jackson Nelson appears the most likely to make way for Schofield.

Last night was euphoric! I'm still on a high this morning. Cant wipe the smile off my face.

Carn Freo! Win today so we get one of Sydney, Richmond or North at home in 2 weeks  :D

I don't want to get ahead of myself, but if we do make the GF, with me being in Melbourne are there any WCE supporters who wouldn't be making the trip over and can get me a ticket?

Not sure how it would work, but I'm an "In The Wings Member" and if there are options for that I'll PM you my membership number if we make it.  :)

Eagles set to field strongest 2015 team against Kangas

WEST Coast looks set to field its strongest side of the season in Saturday's preliminary final against North Melbourne after midfield trio Matt Priddis, Chris Masten and Luke Shuey all trained strongly on Monday.

Priddis (quad) and Masten (hamstring) missed the Eagles' qualifying final win over Hawthorn a fortnight ago but both moved very well on the track at Domain Stadium.

Shuey had suffered a slight foot issue that had limited his training last week but he trained without issue.

Nic Naitanui was on lighter duties with Scott Selwood and Patrick McGinnity. The three players did stationary ball work away from the main group for most of the session.

Selwood and McGinnity are the two players most likely to make way for Priddis and Masten, while Naitanui was being managed as per normal.

Defender Jeremy McGovern walked and jogged laps ashe continues to manage his banged-up body through the remainder of the finals. McGovern has a problem with his left AC joint but he will be available for Saturday's final.

Reigning best and fairest Eric Mackenzie also trained with the main group and appeared to be moving very well as he continues his comeback from the knee reconstruction he had in March.

http://www.afl.com.au/news/2015-09-22/eagles-lock-in-key-defender-mcgovern-for-another-two-years

WEST Coast key defender Jeremy McGovern has signed a two-year contract extension that will see him remain at the club until at least the end of the 2018 season.

McGovern, 23, was already contracted for next season but has agreed to add another two years to continue his meteoric rise under Eagles coach Adam Simpson.

He had not played an AFL game before Simpson arrived after being drafted with pick No.44 in the 2011 NAB AFL draft.

Priddis,Gaff and JJK all made AA team and to top that off JJK named as VC
Jezza a bit stiff, probably would have made it if he had played the full season.
