1. Introduction
Welcome to Domestic 6s

2. Preliminary Auction
- Each franchise will have $4,000,000 to spend on as many players as they feel will be needed to achieve glory. To acquire the services of a player a series of silent auctions will take place.
- During these silent auctions, each franchise can bid on up to 5 players
- At the end of the bidding period (usually 2/3 days long) every player with a bid on them will be posted with a price range of what the leading bid is. (E.g. Joe Burns: $400,000 - $500,000) Note that the franchise with the leading bid will be kept private.
- In the next round, if no one outbids the leading bidder, then that franchise will get their player. If someone does outbid the leader, then the process continues.
- Franchises can bid any multiple of $1,000 for a player, and must equal or beat the minimum bid option with their bid to have a chance of getting a player. Those with a minimum bid of $0 can be bid on for nothing and acquired for free.
- There is a cap of 25 full time contracts available, these contracts are eternal however future costs may be required.
- The final results of the Preliminary Auction are available here.

3. Future Auctions
- Prior to Season 1, each franchise will be given $1,000,000 of which they can use to draft new players to their side, or to save up, there is no requirement to use this money.

3.1 Free Agency Auction
- Before each season and after D6s de-listings, once the squad lists from Cricket Australia are finalized, a list of players available for contracts will be released. These players will be available to be picked up by franchises for full time contracts.
- As part of D6s equalization policy franchises that finish 7th and 8th overall the previous season will be given first pick to acquire two free agents for no cost. The franchises 5th and 6th will then be given a chance to grab one player for no cost. (8th gets higher priority, as does 6th)
- To determine the overall finishes for a franchise the result it achieves the following system will occur:
  • Each competition will be weighted equally, and the finishing spots for each comp will be given the following points
  • 1st - 10, 2nd - 8, 3rd - 6, 4th - 5, 5th - 4, 6th - 3, 7th - 2, 8th - 1
- After this an auction thread will be opened. In this franchises may bid anywhere from $1,000 up (In multiples of $1,000) to whatever amount they deem necessary to get a player to their club. A franchise may post only twice per day and name up to 5 players that they wish to bid on.
- If a player goes 24 hours without receiving a subsequent bid he will go to the franchise which placed the bid
- Players picked up in the draft must stay on that franchises list for the season (They can't be traded in the trade period that immediately follows)
- There is a cap of 20 full time contracts available to each franchise.

3.2 T20 Auction
- The T20 Big Bash sees an increase of players, many of them overseas superstars. Domestic 6s runs accounts for this and each season a T20 Auction will be held. This Auction will be run sometime in November as teams start to finalise their squads for the competition
- The Auction will run the same as the Free Agent Auction without the compensation picks for the bottom sides of the previous season.
- Each franchise may bid twice per day naming up to 5 players that they wish to bid on starting from $1,000 and in multiples of $1,000.
- If a player goes 24 hours without a bid then they will go to that side for the upcoming T20 competition.
- Each franchise is allowed up to 5 T20 contracts per season.
- Prior to the Auction beginning each franchise may nominate one player that they wish to keep on their squad from the previous season for 75% of the price they paid last time.

4 List Management
- Each franchise is allowed to have up to and including 20 full time contracts (These contracts are permanent)
- Each franchise is allowed 5 T20 only contracts (These contracts are seasonal)
- Each player will have a type allocated to them, this is at the discretion of the Admin. Any queries regarding changing the status of players must be mentioned prior to the domestic season beginning.
- There is no limit on how many players of a certain type must be present in any list.
- There is no forced de-listings at the end of the season, however it is advised that teams de-list those players that are not on the lists of squads.
- KEY NOTE: A player that is retired from First Class and One Day matches but plays for a Big Bash team IS ALLOWED to be kept on a D6 franchise full time contract list
- De-listings are to have occurred before the beginning of the first competitive match
- Some players will receive compensation payments for de-listings (See 10.2 for more details)

4.1 Player Poaching
Any player aged 24 or over at the start of a season (1st October just to pick a date) is eligible to be poached at seasons end providing either:
- During the Matador Cup they are not named in 2 or more of the games they play.
- During the Sheffield Shield they are not named in 4 or more of the games they play.
- During the T20 BigBash they are not named in 4 or more of the game they play
- They aren't named for a total of 8 or more matches that they play across all forms.
(Note: A player named as an emergency WILL COUNT as having been named for their D6s side, even if they are not required on field)

If a player meets the requirements then the following will occur:
- The other 7 managers will be given an opportunity to 'declare interest' in the player (This will likely be done in bulk)
- If at least two of the 7 teams declare interest in a player, then the following occurs:
    - The current owner may choose to pay $75,000 to keep the player on his full time list.
    - The manager may choose to let the player go to the Free Agency Auction
- If less than 2 managers declare interest in the player then he will remain on that teams list for no cost
- Any manager may bid on free agents, so managers may wish to take a 'punt' on not paying the $75,000 fee to try and get them back cheaper
- There is no obligation for managers that declare interest in a player to actually bid on that player if the opportunity arises.

5 Trading
- After de-listing and Free Agency drafts each season a trade period will open.
- Franchises may use players or money to trade with.
- Trades do not have to be 1-1.
- A trade will pass unless major discussion arises in which case the managers not involved with the trade will vote on the matter.
- Franchises involved in the trade must provide a simple reason as to why they went through with it
- Admin is not required to provide a reason as to why a certain decision was made
- The trade period will close 7 days before the start of the Domestic Season

6 Fixtures
6.1 First Class Shield
- The First Class competition will have fixtures of the following format:

  • Round 9 is Loser of the Major vs Winner of the Minor
  • Round 10 is Winner of the Major vs Winner of the Prelim

6.2 OneDay Cup
- The OD Cup will be run in the following format:
  • The matches get split into 5 rounds with the following games in each round: 3, 4, 4, 5, 5
  • In the first three rounds teams will name their best sides and will get points based on the OD formula
  • For Round 4 the top 4 sides for points scored will progress to the semis, where it's 1st vs 4th, 2nd vs 3rd.
  • Round 5 will be the final between the two winning sides.
  • Sides finishing in the bottom 4 will NOT play a minor finals, and their finishing positions will be as per total points scored

6.3 T20 Trophy
- The T20 Trophy will be run in the following format:
  • The matches will be split 6, 4, 4, 6, 6, 6
  • Teams will be split into two groups of 4
  • The Group stage will consist of 4 rounds, you play everyone in your group and one team from another group. This way HGA is applied evenly to all teams (2 matches each).
  • Top 4 sides go through to the semis
  • Winners play in a GF
  • The two groups will be chosen randomly each season.

7 Scoring
7.1 First Class Shield
- The First Class competition will use the following scoring system:
1 run = 1 point
Getting out = -10 (Excluding bowlers)
Duck = -10
50 runs in one innings = 30 points
100 runs in one innings = 30 points

1 wicket = 25 points
Maiden = 2 points
5 wickets in one innings = 30 points

7.3 T20 Trophy
- The T20 Competition will have the following scoring system:
Runs (Per run scored) = 1 Point

Strike Rate of 150+ = 20 Points

Run out (player affecting runout*) = 15 Points
Stumping (Keeper only) = 15 Points
* Run out example - if a throw has gone straight to a keeper and all he does is remove the bails then the fielder gets the run out. If it's a wayward throw that the keeper has to retrieve and then throw the stumps down himself then the keeper gets the run out as he played the more significant part.

**Note: This is the scoring system used in the official BBL Fantasy game, our scoring will directly reflect this in every season.

8 Naming of teams
8.1 First Class Shield
- As there are 6 Sheffield Shield teams, but eight D6s franchises, the naming of a keeper is not required.
- Franchises are to name 6 players with up to THREE reserves.
- At least two batsmen and two bowlers must be named.
- A captain is to be chosen by each franchise with double points to be awarded to that player.
- The teams must be named in the following format:
Bats:
Keeper:
All Rounders:
Bowlers:
Reserves:
- Franchises are to name their players in their respective positions to reduce confusion. A Keeper may be counted as one of the two recognized Batsmen, an All Rounder may count as either a recognized Batsmen or Bowler, not both.
- If a starting player does not play then the reserves may come on in order of listing. A reserve will only be brought onto the field as a replacement if the squad requirements are still met, otherwise a 0 will be scored.

8.2 OneDay Cup
- As there are 7 Matador Cup teams, but eight D6s teams, the naming of a keeper is not required.
- Franchises are to name 6 players with up to THREE reserves.
- At least two batsmen and two bowlers must be named.
- A captain is to be chosen by each franchise with double points to be awarded to that player.

8.3 T20 Trophy
- As there are 8 BigBash teams and 8 D6s teams, it will be required that each team is to name a keeper.
- Franchises are to name 8 players with up to three reserves.
- One player from each position must be named.
- A captain is to be chosen by each team with double points to be awarded to that player.
- The teams must be named in the following format:

All Rounders:
Bowlers:
Reserves:
- If a starting player does not play then the reserves may come on in order of listing.
- It is rolling lockout, loopholing is encouraged

8.3.1 Out Of Position Players
In the T20 Trophy one player from all 4 positions must be named (Bat, Bowl, AR, Keep). In some instances this may not be possible to achieve, in which case an OOP player may be used. The following restrictions on OOP players apply:

Keeper is missing
- Batsman 75% of score
- Bowler 50% of score
- All Rounder 50% of score
(All Rounded up)

Batsman is missing
- Keeper 75% of score
- All Rounder 50% of score

Bowler is missing

9 Home Ground Advantage
- To keep in accordance with the real life competitions, the HGA advantage applied will be different in all three competitions.
- All HGA will reset at the beginning of a new season.
9.1 First Class Shield
- The Sheffield Shield is generally a quieter competition. Because of this the only HGA applied will be in the finals.
- For the 7 rounds of the Home and Away season, no HGA will be applied.
- For the first two weeks of finals, a 20 point bonus will be applied to each home side.
- For the final of the Shield, the home side will be awarded a 40 point head start.

9.2 OneDay Cup
- Due to the location of the Matador Cup, the D6s OneDay Cup will not contain any HGA at any stage of the competition.

9.3 T20 Trophy
- The home crowd in T20 plays a much bigger part compared to the other two comps. Each franchise will receive HGA, however the scale of the HGA will vary.
- When the T20 Trophy begins, 5 rounds of the First Class Shield and the entire OneDay Cup will have been played. The positions everyone is in for these two comps will decide how much HGA is dished out for Round 1
- The following HGA points will be awarded for each position in the two comps: 1st - 20, 2nd - 16, 3rd - 12, 4th - 10, 5th - 8, 6th - 6, 7th - 4, 8th - 2
- Then following on if a franchise is to win a match, they will earn themselves 6 HGA points, if they lose then they will lose 4 points.
- The maximum amount of HGA available is 50 points
- The minimum amount of HGA available is 0 points

10 Finances
- Each franchise will be given $1,000,000 starting finances.
- Admin will keep a tally of all finances and update all teams at the conclusion of each round of their balance.
- It is advised to keep an eye out for any mistakes made.

10.1 Franchise Finances
- Money will be handed out for the finishing positions of each competition. There will be no weighting of money, the three comps are valued equally.
- The amount of money handed out will be: 1st: $200,000, 2nd: $125,000, 3rd: $100,000, 4th: $75,000, 5th: $40,000, 6th: $20,000, 7th: $10,000, 8th: $0

10.2 Bankruptcy
- Franchises may not purchase players with money they do not have and claim that they will pay back after they win the titles.
- In an event that after all prize money and compo payments are handed out a franchise has a negative bank balance, they will be forced to de-list players in an attempt to get back in the positive.
- The amount of money that is handed out is dependent on the following:
  • If a player did not feature in more than 2 matches* for a franchise over the course of the season there will be no compensation
  • The player featured between 3 and 6 matches* then the franchise will receive $10,000
  • If a player played 7 or more matches* for the club then the franchise will receive $20,000
  • If a player featured regularly as a captain or vice captain (At the discretion of Admin) then the franchise will receive $40,000
- These players then go to the Free Agents Auction for the upcoming season.

FAQs

General
- Where can I view my squad list?
Ideally it would be good if you kept your own squad list, but admin will keep track of all squad movements privately. An attempt will be made to keep an early post in the "Welcome/General Discussion thread" up to date with squad lists.

- One of my players is in a position I do not agree with. What can I do?
Notify admin. The claim will be looked at, then if it is not considered unreasonable then a vote will be sent out to all 8 franchises who will vote on the situation. If the vote is tied then Admin will make the final call. If the claim is passed then the player will be available in that new position for the next round of play.

One Day Cup
- I don't have any bowlers playing, can I still name a legal line-up
Not necessarily. In the One Day compeitition at least two bowlers must be named. However they can come from your All Rounders. So if you have 4 batsmen and 2 All Rounders, that will pass as a legal lineup.

- One of my players didn't play and I have two emegencies that played, will one of them come on?
An emergency will only come on if the line-up requirements are met. If both your emergencies will fit the requirements, the first one named will come on. If neither will allow for a legal line-up, then neither will come on and a 0 will be scored.

Please note this isn't entirely up to date. Rule changes have been spoken about in the General Discussion thread and will be moved over to here one day. This will also undergo a tidy up as well. For now if you have any queries or need to sek clarification ask below.
