Finally Fox Fantasy AFL is up and running albeit minus the prize money but it still remains a legitimate alternative to DT and SC. After looking through this years player lists I have identified the best buys for this years comp. I hope this helps someone.

Andrew Raines (Def)(3.5) - Just like in DT and SC Raines has been priced very reasonably in FF AFL. There is no doubt that if he can stay healthy he will pick up alot of points across half back this year for the tiges.

Brad Dalziell (Mid)(4.5) - I couldnt believe my eyes when I saw the price on this guy. Dalziell suffered a serious case of leather poisoning towards the end of last season and has shown signs again this pre-season that he's gonna have a big one by racking up huge bags of possesions. Should be the first one you pick, an absolute steal at 4.5.

Matthew Bate (Fwd)(3.0) - A star last year when he averaged 120 FF AFL points per game from 15 games. He was cheap then and amazingly remains cheap this year. This Demon is a must for your forward line.

Chris A Johnson (Def)(3.0) - Came from nowhere last year and ended up being in just about everyones team by the end of the season. Knows how to find it and joins a Carlton team that has a similar high possesion game to the D's.

Bryce Gibbs (Mid)(5.5) - All the signs from last year are pointing to Gibbs having a breakout year this season. Gibbs managed 2700 FF AFL points which is very good indeed and I would put my house on him breaking through the 3000 point barrier this year. You'd be silly not to have him in your team.

Adam Selwood (Mid)(4.0) - This youngster is now considered one of the veterens of the once feared WCE midfield. He is primed this year to carry more of the load as the new breed of Eagles midfielders serve their apprenticeship. Strongly consider Selwood especially at this price.

Sam Power (Def)(4.0) - Like Chris A Johnson, Sam Power ended up in alot of FF AFL teams by the end of last year. This was because he was racking up some very good numbers on a consistant basis. Dean Laidley has stated that he wants Power to play more in the midfield this year which means his numbers are almost certain to go up.
