I think Titch has the scope to add 10ppg to his average. He won't get the run with/tag role at Hawthorn and has the ability to rack up big numbers when let off the leash. Whether he can do that or not with a weaker midfield remains to be seen but the potential is definitely there. His DE has never been great and his DT to SC ratio hasn't either but if he can up his possessions a little he'll score a little more. Be handy if the Hawks can teach him how to kick :)

Currently sitting at M6 for me.

I seem to be the only one who isn't super keen on Titch at the moment. Sure he will get high tackle and contested ball numbers but he loves to handball out of packs and I feel hawks are very light on for both inside and outside mid strength.. at Sydney he had JPK Hanners Parker to help out with some of his sloppy errors and he won't get that at Hawthorn. He'lol be forced to kick the ball more with that horrid foot of his (yuck). Think you'll see a lot of low percentage possession from Titch this year simply because he isn't a ball carrier, does not dispose well and isn't very big at all, meaning he isn't the one to bust open packs. Isn't a goal kicking option either because he'll be forced to play 90% mids and isn't great overhead. Think you'll see a lot of massive sc dr ratio fluctuations much like Lewis over the last few years. Hawks have never had great sc scoring players during their reign apart from SMitch and him and Titch are completely different players. I feel 103-108 is what you'll get. Which doesn't warrant a starting spot over some others.

Totally agree with this. Titch just isnt that good a player to go 115 i reckon you need to be one of the games bests.

Danger Fyfe Ablett Pendles he just doesnt fit that club.

The only guy who i remember who broke that rule was rocky with his crazy ability to rack tackles and ball im not convinced titch is that guy. Add to that hawks have below average rucks, he might pick up a tag and with not anywhere near as much support as before i wouldnt be suprised to see him hover around that 100 mark.

He is already historically a poor DT to SC guy. He already goes 105+ in DT and only puts up 103 SC. Unless this changes then he will have to go like 115+ in DT which is insanely difficult. Feel much better paying a tiny bit more for a sloane who has same DT numbers for an extra 5 SC a game and in the past has been able to turn 105 DT in 115 SC.

plus they will get alot of SC points up front with Roughy Gunston Rioli etc...

Even Sam Mitchell never knocked up big big SC averages

If im being honest the only reason for the correlation of having a lower SC average is the role you have as in are you around the ball in the big moments... You notice with all young players that the majority of them have a lower SC average early on and then as they become more accomplished players that flips around because of the increased opportunity the have and where they are in the pecking order. He had JPK, Parker and Hanners ahead of him who would've always been the go to in those big moments. Titch would've been on the outskirts. Obviously this year titch is one of hawls two "gun mids" and will rake in the benefits of that, he will still get those junk time touches but that'll be after he's been in the thick of it racking up the points. Not to mention the multiple run with roles he had this year.

Understand that FT, but Champion Data don't rate blokes who give it to the opposition on every second possession. Let alone a bloke who handballs more than kicks and junks a lot of those possessions.

And I honestly don't believe in that he was undersold because he was 4th mid. Still averaged 28 touches and 6 tackles lol.

I'd suppose he would be a POD Jobe Watson $453300 turns 32 in Feb not to old to perform , proven SC scorer , everything is behind him now , has had a year off so his body should be good , came back looking in good shape , I'm thinking will he come out with fire in his belly after what he has been through ? what do people think ?

The problem with Jobe is - is he a keeper, with his age and other Bombers. IMO he is a 90-100 point player, therefore he will get you early points over a rookie, but will cost you in the long run as others get their super premiums in.

I'm more alluding to the increased opportunity he will get being a starting mid, rather than being brides-made to those three. He will get more contested pill, more touches overall and there will be more points available to him simply because he will be there when the game is on the line. If you compare his stats to other inside mids, his DE%, clanger count and Kick to handball ratio is the same and if not better to guys who have all exceeded a 110+ (JPK, Priddis, Libba)

Got another smokie breakout player too: Kyle Langford 340k fwd/mid, heard something sneaky that he's apart of essendon's prefered starting mid (Watch this space)

Plenty of talk about Titchell moving into the Hawks, I'll be interested to see how Isaac Smith goes too. Not exactly breakout, but can he return to 90+ with Smitch and Lewis gone?

Keep an eye on Shiel as well. Not worth a pick IMO, but im expecting a big increase from him.

I won't start him but Josh Caddy is one I'll watch in the early part of the season. Recruited to play in the midfield and add grunt around the ball where he hasn't had as much opportunity to do so in the past. Has always teased but never broken out so this could be his big year.
Similarly, Isaac Heeney looks set to do the same thing but a lot are already on him. I'll still wait and see.

Thurlow should fill the void left by Enright at the cats. I think that's how they are grooming him. He may never reach the heights of Enright. But hopefully he can step up and get a regular game this year. If he does that, he should average at least 75-80 I think. Which after a year out will be massive and a huge increase on his price at the moment. But the cats may ease him back into the season. JLT series to watch and see I guess. Thoughts?

Def agree that he will be groomed to be the next Enright, but I'm worried Tuohy coming in might impact that now

I'm not starting any mid price options myself, but for those that are I think Thurlow is a decent option due to his price. As long as he doesn't get injured again he will make 100k+
