I don't think we can expect him to be ready for regular season stuff in his first season Valk, even if we need him
He's a big boy but still very young

I agree, but if he "has" to play then we need to know how he will go.

I think he is saying it would be funny because currently he is in nearly everyones team as an R3 non-playing loophole. The humour is derived from the unexpected situation, that a non-playing R3 used for loophole purposes suddenly gets a game when he is not on peoples radars for that intended purpose.
