Todays the day - Go Lions.

Really has done wonders for the game up here with the majority of the side locals. Local club who has fielded teams in Womens comp has had an influx of 90 girls and ladies wanting to play this season and that is repeated everywhere due to reports. Great for the game and go Lions. Due to a commitment later in afternoon unable to go to Metricon but will be watching.

To show that you can play with ailments the speedy Kate McCarthy has a pacemaker.

For those that are concerned with no early game in AFL I think the AFL did not anticipate 2 non Victorian teams in the final and hence hoped to use the MCG or Etihad for Womens final.

Exciting times for footy today!

I'm tipping the Lions but very happy for both teams and hoping it all goes well!

Doing it for family.
The girls will have to cope with a bit of wind as well today but hope the rain stays away.

Some big hits already -  Reminds of the last time these 2 sides met no side giving an inch,

Grows with a 7 point lead at quarter time.

Congrats Adelaide, played heaps better on the day and probably should have win by a bit more.

Was a great game and the better team one and should have won by more.

But these 2 teams have been great all year and filled with predominantly local players so the future is also bright for the womens competition Australia wide.
