Boston Terriers 17.13.115 lost to Carolina Panthers 18.11.119
(Real: 1725 vs 1779)

A great win by the Panthers in front of an 82,000 strong full house at FedEd Field, Maryland. It was reasonably close, but Boston VC Gibbs got destroyed by tag (Carolina can shout the Sinners a drink tonight thanks to Tom Rockliff) which was the nail in the coffin. Captain Selwood was the best for Boston, who were admittedly missing Pendlebury and Goldstein, while Captain Dusty was the match-winner for the Panthers, who were solid but were almost left to rue a misfiring forward line who averaged 64 apiece thanks to Patton diverting from his recent great form and Stevie J being a semi-useless old fart - this could be their achilles heel (and a weak D4) ahead of the finals.

Best
Boston: Selwood, Dahlhaus, Howe, Biggs, Cotchin, Martin, Sheed
Carolina: Martin, Grundy, Ward, Docherty, Kelly

Las Vegas Sinners 15.15.105 lost to Chicago Sharks 18.11.119
(Real: 1578 vs 1784)

Wow, did anybody see this coming? Huge result by the Sharks as Hurn and Sinclair went ballistic for scores of 149 and 148, while Liam Picken was the x-factor with his bag of six. De Goey was the best for the Sinners and continues his good run of form, but they were left wanting by Captain Rockliff being made to tag and generally poor scores around the ground - it also helped that they weren't playing San Francisco, who always seem to give up big scores to teams who do shower the week after! Unfortunately for the Sinners this is it for their season, while Chicago will carry through some momentum for 2018.

Best
Las Vegas: De Goey, Mitchell, Mumford
Chicago: Hurn, Sinclair, Wallis, Oliver, Picken, Ryder

Ottawa Otters 15.15.105 lost to Colorado Avalanche 17.9.111
(Real: 1573 vs 1664)

The end of a season both clubs would probably much rather forget. Ottawa raced out to 2-0 before losing 14 of their last 15 games to finish second bottom, while Colorado will jump them into third bottom - and possibly fourth bottom pending the NBH result - with a semi-convincing win that will hopefully give them momentum heading into 2018. Lester was the best on ground for the Otters, while Connor Blakely lead the way for the Avalanche.

Best
Ottawa: Lester, McEvoy, Hogan, McGovern
Colorado: Blakely, Blicavs, Ebert, Tuohy

I swear Wisconsin have had a higher round score than me about 5 times in 17 rounds, and I've played them 3 of those 5 times

(Note: this assumes I don't win this week, I haven't calculated it up but I'm assuming it's an L)

I'll be starting on ressies scores now, get hyped

Ressies Action

Suffolk Terriers 10.8.68 defeated North Carolina Tar Heels 6.8.44
(Real: 681 vs 442)
Great game by the Terriers as they look to play finals (but, either way, they'll come out with more wins than losses at 9-8), while the Tar Heels will need much better in the finals as they finish 10-7. McStay for the Panthers and Redden for the Terriers shared best on ground honours.

Nevada Desert Coyotes 10.8.68 defeated Rockford Bears 10.6.66
(Real: 678 vs 657)
Close but no cigar for the Bears as the minor premier Coyotes claim a fifteenth victory. The Bears will finish 8-9 but, like their league side, will have some momentum ahead of 2018. The great man Jed Bews the best on for me.

Montreal Moose 4.5.29 defeated Colorado Bootleggers 4.3.27
(Real: 292 vs 274)
Moose get the win to finish the season on a high note - well, as high of a note that scoring 29 can get you. Not much more to say about this game really...

Rio Grande Valley Rockets 4.9.33 lost to Birmingham Dragons 5.4.34
(Real: 330 vs 340)
...but there is a lot you can say about this ripper! The (now) 3-14 Dragons claim a huge scalp to rattle the Rocket camp heading into finals. Daniel Howe the best on ground but the Rockets just didn't have the personnel and they'll be kicking themselves over this loss.

Stanford Cardinal 8.6.54 defeated Milwaukee Roosters 8.5.53
(Real: 533 vs 529)
Wowee, I thought I was going to drop this one but I miraculously pull it off by four points to get the four points! Stanford certainly had the better scorers, with 6 of the 8 highest scoring players for the match, but Milwaukee had a numbers advantage with three extra players (thanks to Stanford's Miles being a late out). It was a defensive battle, as Scott D. Thompson was the best on ground, while David Astbury lead the way for the Roosters.

Harlem Naggers 5.8.38 lost to Galapagos Tortoise 11.4.70
(Real: 378 vs 700)

They may not be in the finals picture but the Tortoise showed everybody else how to do it, scoring the highest score of the round while beating second-placed Harlem comfortably. Nick Vlastuin was the best on ground easily, although young gun Hugh McCluggage gave his all, while Lewis Taylor was the best for the Naggers.
