Gotch opening and taking that SCRRREEEEAAAMMMER at 2nd slip was good to see for your prediction!First crack at the Official Fantasy Big Bash after a 12th place overall finish last year Each pick explained.Finch - GOAT. Will miss games later in the season but we'll deal with that later.Watto - Gun who likely bowls 2-4 overs a match.Maxy - Just in immense form, and should use this as an audition for ODIs and T20sHead - BargainHenriques - Rissky this one, but he seems so cheap for someone who could bat at 3/4 and bowl 3-4 oversCartwright - lock at that priceMaddinson - bargain, but by no means lockedPierson - opens and keeps (cheap)Carey - could open and keep (so cheap)Bravo - Explosive T20 player, should bowl 4 overs and come in and slog late in inningsChristian - was great for me last time, takes wickets, catches and loves a slog and will get the chance with Canes weak side imoCutting - shocking econ rate but does take wickets and does slog late if he gets a batHastings - love him and like Christian and Cutting he loves a late bashPollard - point to prove after an awful campaign last time outParis - lock at that priceBird - not 100% but seems so cheap30k in bank. I stress this is a first draft, and with the early Thunder double, I do need to consider adding another Thunder bloke or two in there.Starting the SC now

My team is similar Koop!I had Ferguson until I heard about his quad. Took him out and subbed Peirson on (Voges in for loop and DGR next week)Finch, Watson, McCullum, Head, Peirson (Maddinson, Voges)Buttler (Carey)Bravo, R Khan, S Khan, Nabi, McKay (Bird, Cartwright)33k spareMy main concerns are re: the DGRs and future trading limitations on players who get called up for International duties. Does anyone know specific dates/rounds where most will leave? Rd6?Individual player concerns are McKay & Buttler, who I feel are only in my side because of the DGR, not because I actually rate them. What do you think of my team? Any suggestions?
Watsonx2, Maxwell, McCullum, Roy, Wade (Cutting, Carey)Buttlerx2 (Peirson)Bravo, McClenaghanx2, Nabi, McKayx2, Cartwright (S. Khan, Paris)9.9k left.As I do every year, loading up on DGW players regardless if I rate them or not. Logically, an average player that plays two games should outscore a good player who only gets one crack at it (especially in a T20 comp which really is a lottery). So I've got the 4 Thunder boys in there at the moment, ideally I'd like a couple more but I honestly can't justify anyone else. Might look at going Ahmed/Green over McKay but I think Clint is more likely to bowl his 4 overs, including the all-important death overs where he can pick up some cheap poles as he did when he was the leading wicket-taker in the comp just two seasons ago.I also feel like emergency loopholing is a very underrated tactic and can give you a huge advantage as long as you keep on top of it. Aside from Thunder players (where you'll obviously want your DGW players on the field), players from all teams besides the Strikers can be loopholed in Rd 1. The Heat have the DGW in Rd 2 so I'm killing two birds with one stone by having Cutting and Shadab Khan on the pine as my loophole players. If they fire, I'll trade Wade/Bravo/Nabi to Scorchers (bye) players, who also have the DGW in Rd 2.Watto will likely be my skipper for Rd 1. McCullum is too entertaining not to have. Roy is my boy and has a monster ceiling. Wade should open for the 'Canes and basically has an automatic +12 to his name with the gloves.Buttler should bat in the top 4 in that putrid Thunder side so has to be picked for Rd 1 imo. Peirson on the pine in prep for his DGW in Rd 2.Bravo is a gun and you could even argue is slightly underpriced after an average BBL campaign by his standards last season. Nabi is one of the best finishers in T20 cricket and should bowl his 4 overs in Narine's absence. But really, my team could change completely depending on how my Heat players go.
Always do Fantasy EPL and Supercoach and only saw BBL so decided I wanted to give it a crack with my mates. Done a bit of reading and a lot of tinkering and this is what I've got so far.Finch, Watson(C), Maxwell, McCullum, Butler (wk) (Maddinson, Cartwright)Peirson (Carey)Bravo, Cutting, McClenaghan, Stoinis, Mckay (Bird, Paris)2k leftLooking to get Klinger and maybe another Scorcher for round 2.
Been tinkering with my team and come up with this:Finch, Watson, Maxwell, McCullum, Head (Carey, Cartwright)Wade (Inglis)Bravo, Christian, McClenaghan, Stoinis, Nabi (Bird, Paris)Fairly happy with this. Only 2 DGW Thunder players though, but not many of the others are appealing. Couldn't pick between Finch and McCullum so squeezed them both in Seems a bit of a risk with both Bat only (although Finch does send down some off-spinners at times)Edit: Just noticed it was pretty similar to the team above
