When Cairo take a couple of my picks in the national draft it's because we're draft tampering and organizing future trades under the table.

Christchurch trade: 2017 picks 22 + 33 + 2018 first round
Cairo trade: 2018 first round + Jeff Garlett

I think you actually get pick 19 compensation if you lose under 4 games.

Looks like the last grasp at glory while Sandi is around isn't going to pay off, so it might be time to fully commit to a rebuild next year, even if 211 goes around one more time.

Old and gone?:
H Shaw, J McVeigh, D Morris, R Griffen, A Sandilands, J Waite

One or two of these lads might go around again in 2019, and they won't cost the world but might make your team a little better. Slotting in Waite at F4 could win you 2 extra matches per year but he'll probably cost you one in the process. Still, a gun when he's on and worth having. McVeigh is still class and Heef is always a chance to go around again.

Spuds: R Wills, J Toumpas, C O'donohue-Smith, D Buckley, R Bewick, Austin, Filipovic, Abbott, Frost, Vickery

I still think Rupe could make it but it looks unlikely. Clay is the only one here with any value at all, the rest will be free or delisted.

GUNS: L Parker, B Gibbs, T McLean

VERY available, but obviously they will cost plenty. If I have to keep young Toby for the rebuild that's perfectly acceptable but if someone wants to give me an offer I can't refuse then we might part ways. Gibbs isn't young but he's a durable gun with 3 contracted seasons remaining.

Best XV's: T Langdon, N Wilson, G Ablett Jnr, M Murphy, T Scully, T Liberatore, D Wells

These guys would get a match in most WXV teams and a few of them are absolute guns but they have to be slightly discounted due to injury concerns. Moveable if we're going to rebuild, but if Libba, Langdon and Wilson stay that is cool too.

AFL 22's: H Andrews, C McKenna, T Boyd, D Moore, J Stewart, J Stringer, T Dickson

You rarely get your best XV on the park so you need some of these guys to cover, and they play AFL every week. Still plenty of potential for a lot of these guys to develop into best XV players or maybe even a gun in a couple of cases. All bar Dickson are young enough to keep so if they are to move it'll have to be worth it.

<GUNS>

1st & 2nd years: C Cox, L Young, S Darcy, B Cox, J Daicos, E Richards, Z Bailey, W Walker, B Daniels, T Brown, A Schumacher, B Crossley

Probably want to keep most/all of these if rebuilding but I'll never say never. I should have had more patience in the past because a guy I picked and kept for 3 years of nothingness named Jeremy Finlayson is now a gun! ANB is still getting better. DVR will return and be dominant.

Draft picks and/or young talents will be the order of business at Church.

Get your offers in now (especially for Nathan Wilson) so I can organise a 10-way trade.

Shaw and McVeigh firmly on the Dublin radar.

probably cost too much in the cap though.

Might see if i can jag a legend in Gaz too just because, why not.

inb4 Holz offers up one of his young guns with plenty of potential in Nick Holman, along with a first-round draft pick for Ablett and Heater.

sounds like a good deal to me.

would help more if i could trade a injury prone player with 1 good year and a young guy with plenty of potential for a deal like this.

Matthew Kreuzer + Jordan De Goey
for Nic Naitanui + Jaeger O'Meara + Jesse Hogan

perhaps i can make a move like Brad Crouch + Holman + Cap Fillers

for Sam Docherty + Zac Williams + Andrew McGrath

You forgot Callum Brown in that deal m8. A former WXV pick 30 who will eventually prove his worth. Also Kreuz and JDG were worth more than Nic Nat and JOM at the time of the trade, and you said it yourself that Hogan is the equivalent of Jeff Garlett so I don't see any issue with it.

I just wish I was able to trade an 80 mid + a 43 defender + a VFL standard forward for a 108 mid + a former WXV pick 19.
