WXVW Round 3

This weeks matchups:
Barcelona Lynx   VS.   Jakarta Dragons
Algerian Antelopes   VS.   Port Moresby Cassowaries
Lima Llamas   VS.   Bogota Margays
Karachi Rhinos   VS.   Rome Goddesses

Barcelona and Jakarta both got off to ripping starts to open up the season. These two teams where the two top scoring lineups in the first week of action and if that happens again we'll be in for a showdown! Jakarta's team only looks to be getting stronger with the likely inclusion of Sarah Hosking to add to fellow centurion Dana Hooker. Barcelona had an allround showcase last week and you'd think they would need something similar to topple the Dragons.

Port Moresby are all out of luck. Injuries and poor performances really hurting them at this stage. Algeria looks set for a huge year on the back of Daisy Pearce. The rest of their team has taken a step up and their midfield are finally supporting the perma-C. Port Moresby do however have a few shining lights in the reserves who many would suspect will make the team in round 3. Will this be enough to outdo to scoring prowess of the Antelopes?

Lima and Bogota both lost in round 1, meaning that this is an absolute must win game! If either of these teams fall to 0-2 the season may well be over! Bogota's inconsistency led them to the worst score in their history last week, whilst Lima in spite of a few really good performances weren't able to take advantage in their match. I think this match will come down to the captaincy battle as both teams don't have a clear number 1.

Karachi missed out by that much last year and this year they face a must win match in round 2. Rome on the other hand were able to win their match despite not having enough numbers to field last week! Karachi will be desperate for Erin Phillips to come back and stabalise the side whilst the Goddesses will hope their blissful start will continue.

*head appears*

"Marinoff is due for a century, and SFT needs to rebound for a poor performance last week."

*retreats back into underdog status*
