Jury's out on Broughton.
Lake - fire sale after round 2 for ? Hargrave? - or even Clarke - or a 'bubble boy' rookie about to jump through the roof.
Porps!

porps i can deal with.. nothing wrong with his score. he had a bad day and still pulled a what 74? not bad imo - i wasnt expecting much more.. Thinking of getting Clay Smith in for Cogs and saving the money but i wanna do it this week because i want round 2 to see if broughtons role changes and if lake can do any better.. at least he scored 30 in the first round and not the 3rd round! ps. i was thinking dempsey for lake?

Referring to your team on final team in the first post
Backs: Solid Midfield: Great. Keep Coniglio he'll average 80+ for the season. Trust me! Rucks: Solid Forwards:Solid
Very solid! Picked the right rookies. Have great premiums.
Overall: 9.5/10

Also felsty keep Lake, Coniglio, Broughton and Shiel.
I think everyones turned off by them after JUST ONE PERFORMANCE
Broughton was on track for a century after 20 something in the first quarter. Then he started the second great then Lyon was a muppet and forced him into a lockdown role. Even if he doesn't do well this week and people trade him he'll be a gun.
Conglio will be better than David Swallow was last year. And if you remember it took Swallow a while to take off and by the end of the year he was averaging 80
Sheil should have been a top 3 pick if he wasn't prelisted
Lake will be fine. He was playing a guy 3 inches taller than him. No wonder he didn't play well.

Re Lake...Gibson plays on a guy 3 inches taller than him (and the rest) week in week out.
Take the plunge - out of the Lake!

Mm will be interesting.. Who do you guys think will be better out of cogs or smith in the long run? First upgrade will be mids so its not like I'll be trading down to smith and using the money elsewhere but if smith pulls out another 80+ game I'll def have to consider him. With Broughton and Lake I'm hoping one of them fires enough this week for me to want to keep them

If Smith plays another blinder then go for him purely for the cash short term.

Hey Felsty,
I think you should get rid of Lake. He didnt even look like scoring well at any point against WCE. He didnt make any forward runs, or contested marks. He tried to get cheap kicks in the backline but eagles went 50/50 most of the time. Possible trade to Dempsey from bombers who looks lively

not trading before round 2 havent really seen enough of the team to start making calls but atm the blokes who i am having a good look at in my team are brian lake and greg broughton. hopefully these two show a bit more than there round 1 results, something that i think they can both rectify this weekend against the crows and swans respectfully!
clay smith is also one i am looking at getting in, maybe at the expense of coniglio and saving the money as im pretty happy with the rest of the rookies. morris and dickson didnt show much but treloar and zorko should be coming in soon so im not too worried

Get Adcock! No seriously, hang on to Broughton for a bit longer.
You'll spew if he fires, which he will (at some stage).
No trades is the best policy at the moment.
Smith is on the radar but worries aplenty re vestimenty.
Pity you didn't get Murphy! McD would have been a great Captain this week for you.
Hope your mate Ledger gets going this week.
Good luck.
