Salary Caps are being extended next year ahead of free agency and ALL these 4/5 year deals being sought by player managers atm are in recognition of their stars grabbing the biggest piece of the 2013 pie and beyond.

If you only remember one thing, remember this.

Been very quiet on the Pies thread with only one day to go.

This is truely great news that Pendles who is undoutedly in the top 5 players in the AFL and only 24 years old will remain a long term Pie. Next Captain no doubt, maybe next Brownlow medallist but I'd prefer if he added another Norm Smith medal.

GWS has certainly had a huge impact on long term contracts

I think has to do with the new free agency thing.

Good boy Scotty! :-*

5 year contracts getting popular! (obv)
It's actually a 4 year contract going from 2013-2016. ;)

It's only being called a 5 year deal coz 2012 has just started. :)
