With 3 trades a week, I'm looking at taking full advantage of the DGW's.
I reckon I'll start a set and forget keeper line-up with Hartley and Pierson. Will pick 1 set and forget batsmen and bowler.
Then just all about maximizing the opportunity for double points. Planning trades, weeks in advance will be almost compulsory if you are any chance of winning the comp.

Far out, might not be able to get online from Boxing Day through to New Year's Eve. That's gonna flower my chances.

Yeah you would need to either: 1) Get 20 mins online on the 28th to make your trades 2) Pick you starting lineup with no Stars/Heat. Have Scorchers in all sub positions (they will come on in Rd2 with a DGW) And pick bulk 6ers.

Or if you were to pick a Star/Heat couldn't have more than 1 in each position.

I think I'll try for option A.

Not sure I agree on Hussey, Cutting or Bird, but great article nonetheless mate.
I actually only have White and Wright (not Stars bias I swear).

Yeah, not everyone will agree with all of them I'm sure, but still good names to have in your side.
I'll also be doing a schedule/fixture article showing which players are available when and what teams are playing where and when and all that, like I had last year. It'll be coming out on Wednesday.

Hey mate, some interesting points raised in your article, but I don't fully agree with it.
As much as I hate to say this, I think you need to stay away from Cutting. He bats too far down the order to justify selection as an allrounder.
Also not sure about Boyce. He is one of the best spinners in the country, but I'm not sure who will get games out of him and Doherty. Can't really see Hobart playing 2 spinners.

Yeah, Doherty will play for sure. He's really really good in the short form. Likely to bowl all four overs and be fairly economical.
