Remember though when Carlton were at their peak they had a fleet of smalls as well. Our problem is that thgere has been no real tall forward bringing the ball to ground for them to work their magic. Taylor looks good going down the wing. Green will always have the speed and an accurate kick (although he can have an off day). Zorko and Christensen both provide relief through the mids as well.
Interesting idea though brodman and I am glad I am not on the selection committee having to decide on team balance. Think a lot of selections this year may come down to the opposition.

Yeah wouldn't mind seeing Rich drilling it onto Kennedy's chest from the center square

Think he has lost a little bit of that power and distance since his leg injury 2 seasons ago. A couple of times this year have seen him kicking for goals beyond the 50 arc and failing to make distance.

Club getting busy with re-signings - Youngster Jaden McGartah has signed for 2 years. After a sound debut in Round 1 he succumbed to a foot injury keeping him out for the season. Hoping for better luck this year, http://www.lions.com.au/news/2015-12-16/mcgrath-resigns

http://www.lions.com.au/news/2016-03-03/lion-for-lifeand this one not unsurprisingly only maybe the length of contract being 4 years. Zorko a Lion for life. This will give you an indication of our youth at the moment as well "Zorko, who dominated the local Queensland competition playing for Broadbeach in the QAFL before being picked up in the 2011 National Draft, is now the fifth-oldest player on the Lions’ young list (behind Daniel Merrett, Martin, Trent West and Hanley)." So Zorko at 27 is the 5th oldest on the list. Rich is the one I would like to see settled early being an unrestricted free agent. Quite few stilll on the 2016 yet to sign as well so hope to see a few more in the near future,

Think we needed to extend Leppas contract to give certainty going forward and with the number coming off contract this year as well. The number of changes to the coaching staff as well needed the stability as well.
You have hit the nail on the head with the improvement in fade outs in red zones of each quarter. So basically 2017 will be Leppas make or break year.
Rumour has it that Rich will be re-signed in the near future as well.
